To Touch Another SoulTo touch another soul is to touch the true Divine. A soul does not stand alone, but with others does intertwine. Familiar traits in strangers are now reflections that I see; What I behold in you, so shall you also see in me. We are threads of the universe bound together to make a whole. An intricate, woven web connecting soul to soul. Akin to the starry heavens mirrored in the fathomless sea, So is all the flora and fauna in relation to you and me. I am a child of the earth, a sister to water and sky. I am the mother of creation born again in my child's cry. I am the eternal flame sparked into life by the fire That boils Cerrwidwyn's cauldron and kindles the funeral pyre. I am the marriage of Spirit and Nature, in Goddess' image I am made. I am the overflowing chalice which receives the plunging blade. I am a living tome of knowledge that is written every day, Yet I am the humble student, forever seeking the enlightened way. Always moving forward, I shall also look within And heed my soul that's longing to find its origin. It is my fervent prayer, that, as I find my way, By touching another soul, I know myself better everyday. Moone Copyright © 2004 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
