Beware of False Prophets

Matthew 24:23-28

If a man says, "Look, here is the Christ!"
Don't even think of it or try to be enticed;
For there will be those attempting wonders,
Showing you signs and hiding the blunders;
Deception so good that experts be tricked,
Thinking it is the Messiah that God picked;
Jesus made it clear before it comes about,
We will know for sure and without a doubt;
As lightning in the east seen in the west,
So will the Son of man come in His quest;
Wherever the corpse be found in deceit,
There is also as the eagles come to meet.
Beware of false prophets as we are told,
A wolf in sheep clothing acting so bold;
Claiming to be something as they are not,
Putting all of your faith without a thought;
Faith is by hearing rather than by sight,
Found in the Word of God that will excite;
So let us just be cheerful and not so glum,
For the second coming of Christ will come.
