The Walls of Paradise

On each side of the fences
[That separates reality from fantasy]
Are the grounds-
Which I have walked upon.
Pacing back and forth
From party to party,
Are dragonflies that take wing-
As dream-catchers who leave pixie-dust
Dissolving through the air.
When stationing one foot on each side,
Truth and error are so hard to define.
…Planting anonymous seeds…
Wolves walk around with sheep's masks
And sheep's with wolves'…
In the meanwhile, your heart beats
For several reasons and loves.
And all I feel I can do
Is stare at the skies;
The walls of paradise.
