M's Poetry

From Here

I don't agree but it's irrelevant
the wishes of my life buried in silence
and you don't how it feels because you can't imagine
you don't have to say a word
your actions are deafening and my love is waning
after everything it turned into one big fat nothing
the years spent and nothing to show for it

All this pressure to stay together, look perfect
now flash that smile the one you don't give me
only when we are with friends
the simple acknowledgment of us saddens my heart
because what was once great has turned into labor
and I am simply out of breath, out of patience
from here I am just out of love

I think I have stayed with you
because I didn't want to start over
I didn't want to explain your absence
but it has become pretty clear
that it's not right, it just feels really wrong
from here feels unnatural to even hold your hand
and I can't pretend that my tears aren't real
no not anymore....
