Living in the Word

Jeremiah 15:15-17

God has knowledge and keeps me in mind,
He shows me His compassion and is kind;
Justice will be served those causing pain,
Here to comfort from the emotional strain;
He slows to anger when my actions absurd,
No matter what I shall abide in His Word;
His Word is joy and making my heart glad,
For His name is mine never making me sad;
I sit not with heathens for there is no joy,
Best to be alone the mockery they employ;
For it angers me so of language so vain,
Taking quite an effort for me to constrain.
It gets me so upset the abuse of His name,
Bringing to God such dishonor and shame;
How can anyone ever feel the way they do,
Thoughts on the Creator that they construe;
Living in the Word it does not make sense,
Hearing an injustice from a mouth dispense;
It is within you flowing through your heart,
With living in the Word shall never depart.
