Arthur Leaves Australia! Oh Yes!
Arthurrexpoo gave each lady
A long and loving kiss,
And then picked up his luggage
And left this land of bliss.
Shenni sighed a plenty,
A sigh of sweet release.
While Joy breathed nice and easy
And once more felt pure peace.
Arthurrexpoo got on the plane
To fly and fetch his prize
For writing perfect poetry
For people far and wide.
He was flying off to Italy
To a place that they called Rome.
He'd never heard of it before,
But knew it was far from home.
He sat back nice and easy
In his tiny third class seat,
And picked his nose a plenty
And aired his stinky feet.
And when the plane landed
He wasn't there in Rome.
He was right back in Cleveland,
Not too far from home.
"Oh those Aussie ladies,
What have they done to me"
He swore and loudly bellowed
As angry as can be.
It struck him in an instant,
It was all a great big joke.
There was no prize a-waiting,
He was not a happy bloke.
Back home in Australia,
Joy smiled a cheeky grin,
While Shenni roared in laughter.
They'd sure got rid of him!
Joy Weare.
