Ancestors Speak
Every night when
I go to sleep,
I can hear
my ancestors speak.
Telling me of
my Native land,
and how it was stolen
by the white man.
Bows and arrows
guns galore,
battles won and lost
blood shed while the eagle soared.
My ancestors speak
most every night,
about my Native land
it gives me such fright.
