ONE DAY AT A TIME

HAND IN HAND, TOGETHER WE'RE FREE
Woke up today, as I do every morn, you see,
first thought being, what kind of day today will be.
It does not matter, for it's just another day,
I know nature will shine in every single way.
I have a dream to share with each and everyone,
that this day, like any other, will be a good one.
I will be firm, and stronger than strong,
no matter what, this way I cannot go wrong.
I have the right to feel free,
a gift such as this, I should not flee.
No one item can be bought for free.
So I forbid to allow anyone to forsake me.
Let freedom ring from one coast to another,
and the bells be heard from here to hereafter,
We live in a land where people tend to one another,
and battle to truly see oneself, same as the other.
Tomorrow, I plan to awaken again,
to yet another unforsaken day,
as I go out and get on my way,
look up, and give thanks in every way.
This, and all, applies to you and me,
please hear me out and you will see,
hold on, hand in hand, together we're free,
be thankful for each day, and never flee.
