Thankful to the Father

Colossians 1:12-16

Give thanks unto the Father for the insight,
Who took us out of the dark into the light;
And making us free from the power of evil,
As we wait for the Son His second arrival;
For taking us back to His Kingdom of love,
Because of our salvation from God above;
That graced us with forgiveness of our sin,
Purifying our hearts and cleansing within;
He is Christ the image of the unseen God,
One and only true God who is not a fraud;
On Heaven and earth by Him all was made,
Seen as well as unseen to Christ conveyed.
Through Jesus Christ the church is sanctified,
Who is the first to resurrect after He died;
The church is the body Christ is the head,
Those as part of the body to which be fed;
Because Christ is truly the bread of life,
Upon His return He shall wed His wife;
As we remain true to the Trinity as one,
The Father, the Holy Spirit and the Son.
