SUNRISE TO SUNSET

As I lay on a velvety, white sandy beach,
imagining the sun, bright as the color of a peach,
absorbing each ray it beams down my way,
in the horizon it shall set, and rise the next day.

Moonlight glows in the night,
the owl awakens and sees the light,
I close my eyes, feeling the breeze,
from the deep blue ocean, with such ease.

I know the sun must be ascending,
for I hear the birds chirping,
I open my eyes, and to my amazement,
I see it all, with such gleam and embracement.
