Poor Humpty Dumpty!

Humpty Dumpty
Sat on a plate,
Feeling so warm
He could hardly wait.
Suddenly
Down came a fork,
Humpty Dumpty
Felt like a dork.

Humpty Dumpty
Sat in a cup,
Feeling so tight,
He couldn't sit up.
Suddenly
Down came a spoon.
Humpty Dumpty
Started to swoon.

Humpty Dumpty
Sat on the toast,
Feeling so hot,
He started to roast.
Suddenly
Down came a knife,
Humpty Dumpty
Rolled for his life.

Humpty Dumpty
Lay on the floor,
Cracked and dazed
And feeling so sore.
Suddenly
He started to shake,
His poor little yolk
Was about to break!

Joy Weare.
