Blood`s Not Thicker Than Water.

To Doris my friend and sister of nearly thirty years.

They say blood is thicker than water
But I don`t think that`s true.
For you are not my sister
But act like sisters do.

You`re loving and you`re caring
You understand me well
You`re there when you are needed
And so the truth to tell

Blood`s not thicker than water
It`s souls that really say
That you are my dear sister
In every kind of way.

Doris you`re my soulmate
God meant that we should meet
It was a very special day
When you walked down my street.

We don`t share our parents
Of blood we`re not a part.
But you are my sweet sister
Through joining of our hearts.

So have a happy day today
And each one all year through
Remember sis` I love you
Whatever you may do.
