If God So Loved Us
Look within my eyes and see
Slow anger rising up in me,
As they reject God's chosen path.
If God so loved us, we ought to love each other.
It is not time to be silent or still!
I'll speak up in love for His perfect will…
knowing the power of God's wrath.
If God so loved us, we ought to care for one another.
They now approach me and are near
Near enough that they can hear
There is more to learn in life than math.
If God so loved us, we need to forgive our brother.
Do not be foolish or act sly
Stop trying to make another cry!
Show some smiles …make them laugh.
If God so loved us, we need to be kind to each other.
I say to you now, “Do what is right.
Turn away from all wicked plight.”
Fear the power of His rod and staff.
Proverbs 15:9
The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the Lord:
But he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
