I feel the warmth of light
though itself I cannot see
I taste the breeze of seashores
though the water is never to be
I hear the music of morning
thought there are no birds to fly
I hold to the promise of tomorrow
though my life may be just a lie.
Star-shine on the moon beams
raindrops follow the sun
A child's laugh in the morning
the blush of youth begun
A gentle breeze caresses
the soreness of my soul
Smiles that wash the doubt away
that keep me from growing old.
Tomorrow I am someone else
for the lesson have changed me too
I march along in deepest pride
to find what life ensues
For I am a person of discovery
all sight a gift to me
To find a smile aim at my heart
is the greatest gift to receive.
