Her Can Of Worms!Every day she tried a little bit more, To open her can of worms, But every time she tried… The can opener would never turn. She was trying to let them loose, And needed them to run away, But instead of them escaping, They would always, always stay! She conditioned herself all the time, Telling herself she had to let them free, But she couldn't seem to do it alone, And was too much for her you see! She wanted to set them free! Because she had a future to face, She needed to open that can of worms… And her pain and past so chase! Then one day it came to pass, That she opened the can part way, And now that she has achieved this…! That's the way it will always stay… For she will never close that can tight again, But more, she will let it open wide, And when that day comes to pass… She can let all her hurt and pain slide… Slide on into the past, Where all the worms should be, Out of mind, out of sight, And out of the heart of she! So now as the can opens more and more, She shall stay focused, strong and true, Until that last worm wiggles away, Because it's the only thing to do! She wants to open her can of worms wide, She needs to do it – it has to be! And when that day finally comes to pass, It won't be worms, but snakes that go free!
