The Sky Fight
Mr Sky
Had a fight
In the middle
Of the night.
He pushed a moonbeam,
Crashed a cloud
And made his Sky wife
Thunder, loud .
Her glaring eyes
Sent a flash,
That made him punch
The loudest clash.
Then Mrs Sky
Began to shout.
He threw some ice
And knocked her out.
When she awoke,
She blinked an eye
And quickly she
Began to cry.
Her angry tears
Came streaming down,
Then Mr Sky
Blew her a frown.
And then they both
Began to bash
And bang and clang
And crash and dash.
They kept storming
On and on,
Till their thunder
Had all gone.
Then morning came,
They felt so light.
They looked around,
The world seemed bright.
The rainbow smiled,
The sun shone warm,
The Sky's forgot
Their thunder storm.
They hugged a cloud
And whispered dear,
And then they dropped
A tiny tear!
Joy Weare.
3rd February, 2005.
