THE PATH OF TIME MOVES FORTH
Oh my father years have past,
My son now grown a man,
I hope I put him on the path,
The best way that I can.
But father I am held here now,
My path appears to stop,
These past years have been the same,
Nothings changed yet all remains .
My heart it seems to feel the same,
It loves it feels and cares,
But as my body grows in age,
The path it goes no where.
Have I learnt the lesson,
That I was meant to learn,
Father please, please tell me,
This of thee I yearn,
My soul is growing weary,
This heart it now days cries,
Although my son is near me,
Alone I feel inside.
Is this one more lesson,
That I was to behold,
The sadness of a lonely heart,
As one is growing old.
This feeling father is of such,
A cruel emotions pain,
It makes me feel like every day,
My world is full of rain.
Changes have arose for me,
In body and in heart,
Father is this the start for me,
For when I will depart.
I wish the clocks could turn to when,
I was young and free,
Where every thing around in life,
Opened doors for me.
This path I travel has been vast,
Yet with its brought great joys,
Wisdom knowledge understanding,
None of this ignored.
Father I feel ready,
Although it's hard to say,
For when I walk into your arms,
My child I leave to stay.
So if the time is dawning,
My path to see the end,
Although it's hard I'm ready,
To be reborn again.
I wait for you my father,
In you I leave my fate,
For you I trust will guide me,
To where you site in wait.
I ask of thee though father,
That when the moment comes,
You let me see the one I love,
The soul you called my son.
