Today I died

Today I died; this is my one and only time
Though it's a little late I'd like to say whats on my mind
I would like to apoligize for all the pain I have caused
For those I hurt directly and all others involved
I made a whole lot of mistakes, wrong decisions, and bad moves
Often misguided by the love I tried so hard to prove
Many people knew me as many different things
For some a reason to cry, others a reason to sing
To some I was a disappointment, to some others a huge success
What ever the case I want you to know I really tried my best
To be honest there were times I took the easy way out
To be honest there were some times when my efforts were in doubt
To be honest I think by asking too much of myself
I honestly demanded too much from everyone else
Today I have no agenda and no demands to make
Today I would do better, but for me it is too late
Today I had one thought as I approach my fate
I'm glad I learned early to make no room for hate
As I saw darkness surround me, and moved slowly into the light
I thought about those who were affected by my life
I hope you will remember the good I tried to do
And please believe I never purposely hurt any of you
As God is my witness, I truly love all of you
And today I die knowing that you truly love me too
