LUMINOUS MIST OF A MERMAID

LUMINOUS MIST OF A MERMAID

             Wanderlino Arruda

Why look upwards to a gray sky?
Why dive into the deep blue sea?
Bodies want to be embraced,
dancing hands, sincere music
in the tightness of the heart.

The light redesigns rains
and hints at her breasts,
flaxen hair, ripe-peach skin:
woman-siren, all woman,
woman yes,
more than a woman,
sensitive and enchanting,
enigmas breathe clearly,
in the western wind,
in rose pink lullabies!
