Poetry From The Heart by Barbara Ann Smith
Tired Of Doing It Your Way?
Did you ever have a feeling
life has let you down?
Your head can't stop spinning
and nothings sound.
It is like a roller coaster bent for HELL
the wheels keep clicking and clicking
until you don't feel well;
within your soul is sinking and sinking.
You plunge down into a dark well
got to swim or drown.
You scream, "Please go tell,
get someone, I gotta be found."
A light shines bright in the night,
a calmness comes as I start to pray,
Lord, help me get my head on right,
I'm tired of doing it my way.
life has let you down?
Your head can't stop spinning
and nothings sound.
It is like a roller coaster bent for HELL
the wheels keep clicking and clicking
until you don't feel well;
within your soul is sinking and sinking.
You plunge down into a dark well
got to swim or drown.
You scream, "Please go tell,
get someone, I gotta be found."
A light shines bright in the night,
a calmness comes as I start to pray,
Lord, help me get my head on right,
I'm tired of doing it my way.
