At last

At last I'm finished, at last I'm free
At last no one can ask anything of me
At last my rest will not be interrupted
And this peace right here can not be disrupted
At last I will see my final resting place
And I meet my savior face to face
At last I have sinned for the very last time
And claim of forgivness that is mine all mine
At last I can add up my final score
I don't have to erase my mistakes anymore
If I could write a poem just one more time
I would write to those I left behind
I would tell them to love and always be kind
And that life is short so don't waste your time
I would write of our brief existence, and opportunities so few
And all the things in life I still wanted to do
I would write of my joys, and also my pains
I would write of my moments of pride and shame
It wasn't easy but at least now I can say
At last I won't have those struggles today
