The Lizard And The Ladybird
A lizard with a walking stick
Stepped so quick and tall,
And met a wobbly ladybird
Trying not to fall.
The lizard gave a helping leg
To steady her along,
The ladybird smiled so sweet,
And thanked him with a song.
To a log they made their way,
And crawled so snug below.
They hugged and whispered softly
A wispy sweet "Don't go"
Joy Weare.
