For Syd
You were
Such a cutie
When you were
Just knee high.
Now you're
Tall and handsome
And such
A spunky guy!
We ladies love
Your twinkle,
We watch you
With such awe.
Our hearts
Go pitter, patter
As with grace
You take the floor!
Your voice
So velvet mellow,
Takes us to
The moon.
You tease us
With each linger,
We melt
Into a swoon!
Your eyes so
Dark and flashing,
Charm and hold
Our hearts.
You're quite
The nicest fellow
And a perfect
Work of art!
You've seen sixty
New Year sunsets,
And the years
Have touched you sweet.
Syd we wish
You "Happy Birthday"
Go dance,
Kick up your feet!
Joy Weare.
19th February, 2005.
