Poetic Verses

December Wish

Tho' trite and selfish my desire might seem;
a fantasy come true deep in my heart
Winter memory to climax this dream;
benediction for the love we impart
Howl the winds of uncertain plans press
Ideas like snowflakes melt without sound
Creation is easy for place and dress,
however , sanctity's rulings doth pound
Obedient to the Canon's request
regard to and null the former link roused
To prove without doubt and to pass each test
legally, morally, holy espoused
Time of essence to wed in December
Complete for us marriage to remember

For my love and I as we face the tribunal to grant permission for us to marry in a timely fashion to create our December dream wedding.
