FRIENDS AND FOES ( Free Style)
~Friends And Foes~
(Free Verse)
Overhead I hear this cry
I'm not sure where it comes from
But right in the distant sky
I see seagulls crossing by
Thoughts come and go
Drifting back and forth
Into my head they just grow
They're my friends and foes
They thrive on their way
In the only manner that they know
So my heart and mind to them bow
Even in the darkest tunnel they glow
They feed on my happiness
They feed on my discontent
They turn my head upside down
Yes, with them my life I've spent
As they come and rapidly depart
Thank you so much just the same
They're my best friends and foes
To burn one way or the other my flame.
