Worn out heartMy heart is tattered, like a old worn out quilt, Sometime it seems like a torn piece of cotton next to the soft expensive silk. Or maybe like a old worn out pair of shoes, That has walked one too many steps, and danced too long to the blues. My heart is tattered at the seams, Tearing apart like shattered dreams, It seems like this old worn out heart, has paid it's dues, This old heart is like a worn out pair of shoes. Walking one too many steps, and dancing too long to the blues. Are you going to throw this heart away, Is it still feeling comfortable today? I feel my heart start to lose, Are you throwing my heart away, like a pair of old shoes? My heart is tattered, like a old worn out quilt, Sometime it seems like a torn piece of cotton next to the soft expensive silk. Or maybe like a old worn out pair of shoes, That has walked one too many steps, and danced too long to the blues. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
