I wrote this for my eighteen year old son who finds it quite difficult waking up in the mornings.
I don't know what it is: I don't seem to waken up,
No matter what I do, I'm tired.
I went to bed at eight, that wasn't very late,
Couldn't waken up; so tired.
I went to see the doc., he said, "Use two alarm clocks."
They didn't waken me, too tired.
I bought a repeater alarm and tied it to my arm,
But it failed to waken me; real tired.
I went to see my boss, he said, "You're just a proper loss."
Promptly there and then I was fired.
I said, "Could I try another shift, since we've had a tiny rift?"
He looked at me and said, "You're rehired!"
The moral of this tale, is if you do not want to fail,
Make sure you find a job where you're not tired.
Get a job at night, you'll find you're not uptight,
And your work will be incredibly inspired.
