God's Scribe Poetry Selections
In a World All My Own
My heart floods with tears that
My eyes can no longer cry.
My mind and soul battle
For position over my will.
And I sit lost and helpless
In a world all my own.
I am surrounded by
Walls and barriers,
Once deemed a wise move,
That now leave me alone.
I try with all my might
To tear them down,
But my fear constantly
Replaces the stones I have removed.
I long to escape this
Self-made prison.
But, alas, I can't escape myself.
So I sit, lost and helpless,
In a world all my own.
