 The Unfairness Of Angels

dreamweavertheunfairnessofangels
Katie

From the branches of the trees that expand in this busy city
I peer down and look at you Katie
I don't suppose you'll remember me
Especially in this form, a bird in a tree
But I never have left you my Katie
I don't how long it's been in human years
But I still hear you call me at night in your tears
And I feel your love high above in the sky
That little sparrow in your garden every morning is I
I fly above our old house, and at dawn I sing to you
I perch on your window at night as you sleep, but you have no clue
I never left you Katie
My soul will keep on being reincarnated with yours, for all eternity
You'll always be a part of me
And I look at you from these branches of the tree in the city
My little heart still carries you inside of me
I never left you Katie
