When All Else Fails
When the truth is screaming from the rooftops
and it's not what we like
lets all look on the ground
and pick up, dust off all those lies
and repeat them as truths
When it doesn't meet our standards
lets discard it has a has-been
instead of digging deeper
you never know what gems you might find inside
When it isn't comfortable
let's throw money at it
or scream and shout
never to stop for a second
to find the meaning of the situation
When others are being hanged
lets turn our heads and pretend to be deaf
because getting involved would actually
might be of some help....
to someone who so easily could have been you
When you screw up royally, look around to see who is near
than cast the blame, up the scam and free your hands of the shame
when all else fails....is this really what we have come to?
