You Have To Forgive To Continue To Live…No matter how you feel inside, You have to forgive – you do! Bury the feelings of anger, And make life a little easier for you! He is your father, this can't be denied, And no matter the pain and grief… Because he walked away and left you behind, You let him steal your love like a thief. But he didn't steal your love… Tis just that you hold such anger within, You have to let it go and move on, For to allow yourself to win! I know that you are in pain, And that pain has sent you to hell, But all you have to do to release it, Is open up your heart and tell… Tell him that you love him, And that you forgive him at last! Hold him, hug him, kiss him, And put all the pain if the past, in the past! Anger is a terrible affliction, It holds us in a cage so tight! Eats us up, destroys the good, Until our pain is so out of sight! Who do you hurt by un-forgiving? Well that's so obvious to me! Yourself and your father, Take a step back, tell me what you see? Has he turned into a monster? And did his love stop for you overnight? Did he walk away uncaring? Does he not care for your saddened plight? NO!! The answer is no! It doesn't mean he is all that at all! He had to go, saw no choice, And oh God, but he's taken a fall! His heart as your heart is hurting, He is being punished in the very worst way, His child whom he so loves, Has turned his love away! Bitterness, what is the point? When all it does is fester and grow, And eats you up like a bile in the throat, And lets all that love for him go! If you didn't love him! Then why do you hurt and pain? And more, how do you think he's feeling, Tell me, with anger, what is there to gain? Nothing, you gain nothing at all, All you do is let it ruin your life… And turn away the father, who loves you, The result is you both live in pain and strife! Stop!! Change your ways, just do it! And let him know of your love, Smother him in hugs and kisses, And I bet my life you'll thank the stars above! You are his blood, he is yours, Don't throw it all away… Because if you do then mark my words, You will regret it so bad one fine day! Do you love him? Yes! Does he love you? Yes!
