It Was Just A Moment...

It Was Just A Moment…

All it took was a moment,
And in the space of one minute past,
He put a fear in my heart,
That seemed to last and last!

That's all it was, just a moment,
But in that moment my life altered,
And though my life's been harsh,
My life suddenly somersaulted

It was just a moment, that's all it was,
That threw me into confusion,
That made everything so surreal.
And broke my lovely illusion!

It was just a moment, a fleeting one,
Can make the difference in our life,
And alter it from carefree and happy,
Into pain and fear and strife!

A vice like grip, a chill in the heart,
And a fear second to none,
Frozen in time, not feeling fine,
Oh God, what has he done!

He violated me, that's what!
When he did all that to me!
Made me scared and vulnerable
Filled me with a hate for he!

Just a moment, just a moment,
Was all that it took him…
To violate my body and mind,
But be sure, he didn't win!!!

And though I was upset and angry,
And though I cried the whole night through,
I am stronger than that, I am!
And that's why, no matter what I went through!

So I pulled myself together,
And help my shoulders high,
And no matter what and no matter when,
Not one more tear over this will I cry!
