PAIN!
I wrote this poem about myself while suffering extreme pain due to an ongoing heart condition. It's a condition I have to live with.
Pain! Excruciating, debilitating pain.
I need to find relief!
Quickly, swiftly: PLEASE!
Oh sweet relief, where are you?
Agony! Horrific, deadly agony!
How can I survive?
Crushing, tightening, frightening!
Air, clean air, required!
Suddenly the pain is gone, my life at last released.
Joy, where once despair.
But, where does it come from? Why does it go?
This mysterious, crippling pain!
