Tell Me Why

~Eagle Sigs~

What did I do to anger you
tell me was I being bad
I must have done something wrong
and made you awfully mad

I was only ten years old
you chained me to my bed
then a terrible fire broke out
and I was left for dead

As the flames swept higher
I know you heard me scream
you walked into the clean fresh air
smiled at your wicked scheme

But I was left, forgotten
while everyone else got out
smoke got into my little lungs
I couldn't even shout

Chained here like an animal
left all alone to die
I was your little girl
Please Daddy, tell me why.
