The Compassion of GodPsalm 14 The fool in his heart says there is no God, Merely thinks that all religion is a fraud; They are just unclean and done evil deeds, For the Word from God he never heeds. So God looked down from His Kingdom, If any of His children had some wisdom; Maybe they were searching to give a plea, Or asking for blessings that needed to be. But they had all gone and were unclean, Doing any good not a single one has been. "Is there no knowledge in evil had brought, And forsake their Lord?" God had thought. "They eat my people as if it was just bread, Never a prayer or Holy Scriptures read." Then they were in fear and having shame, And finally realizing their sinful game. But the Lord has compassion and grace, As He continues to give His embrace; While the salvation out of Zion flows, With joy and gladness radiantly glows.
