Do you hear the cries
Of a broken heart
Sighs of tiny pieces
Ripped all apart
Its' cries can be soft
One must strain to hear
Tormented refrain
Wishes to disappear
Sometimes in a scream
Know me...feel me
Reduced to a plea
Love me....heal me
These aren't cries
Never heard before
They sound the same
Be it my heart or yours
