ODE FOR THE OPPRESSED.

You came,
You saw,
You conquered.
Your word,
Your sword,
Would rule.
We cried,
We died,
We suffered.
Your words,
Your sword,
So cruel.
We fought,
We taught,
Real freedom.
Your word,
Your sword,
So weak.
We rose,
We chose,
That freedom,
For goodness,
Not glory,
We seek.

ODE FOR THE OPPRESSED.
