SPOILED ROTTEN
She wants my rapt attention all of the time,
Exclusive rights to my money, every dime;
If I give another child the slightest of kisses,
She narrows her eyes, tightens her lips and hisses;
The sad truth is she's extremely jealous,
Unbecoming trait, so very callous;
The other kids at home all need tender care,
They often complain that it's just not fair
How she always seems to have things her way,
She never cares at all about what they say;
She's sixteen and you'd think that by now,
She'd realize some things I can't allow;
If she sits her tall frame in my lap
And I tell her to move, it widens the gap
That became evident with her teenage years;
At times, her behavior drives me to tears;
Sometimes I feel like showing her the door,
I honestly feel I cannot take it any more;
However, I realize that nothing in the world
Can ever stop my loving this spoiled little girl.
She wants my rapt attention all of the time,
Exclusive rights to my money, every dime;
If I give another child the slightest of kisses,
She narrows her eyes, tightens her lips and hisses;
The sad truth is she's extremely jealous,
Unbecoming trait, so very callous;
The other kids at home all need tender care,
They often complain that it's just not fair
How she always seems to have things her way,
She never cares at all about what they say;
She's sixteen and you'd think that by now,
She'd realize some things I can't allow;
If she sits her tall frame in my lap
And I tell her to move, it widens the gap
That became evident with her teenage years;
At times, her behavior drives me to tears;
Sometimes I feel like showing her the door,
I honestly feel I cannot take it any more;
However, I realize that nothing in the world
Can ever stop my loving this spoiled little girl.
