Loving Respect

Ephesians 5:21-33

We submit one to another in fear of God,
Since it is proper and salutary for to laud;
As the husband is at the head of the wife,
Wives to submit to their husbands for life.

Just as Christ is to the church at the head,
He rules over all the living and the dead;
So let the husbands rule over their wives,
But can only be if their love also thrives.

Even as Christ loved the church so much,
That He willingly gave His life as such;
In making it Holy by washing in the Word,
As claiming it full of glory as to be heard.

It's right for husbands to love their wives,
Of their bodies as their own in their lives;
In loving his wife as in loving his own,
Just as through Christ compassion to atone.

Man becomes of one flesh with his wife,
No longer being as of two but of one life;
Just as a he loves, a wife shows her respect,
What happens to one the other it'll affect.
