Aunty Jean And Nana's Bible…

I bought my Nana a bible when I was a lass,
She had it for years and when she died,
The bible I bought her was taken…
Oh many tears I had cried!

Then one day bright my Aunty Jean said;
‘Cath, I have something for you!'
I had no idea what it was…so I said;
‘Well, go on, give me a clue!'

She told me that she had my Nana's bible,
Had taken it a long time ago…
Didn't realize that I bought it at first,
But then, just like that, she did know!

So she told me on the night of my party,
To celebrate my book publication,
That she would give me the bible then,
And I was full of adulation!

I couldn't wait for the night to arrive,
‘Not one book, but two!'  Said Aunty Jean!
And when I got there, there she was,
Holding a box of red and green!

‘Open it up!'  She said to me with a smile,
And so I did as per her request…
And there staring at me, was my Nana's bible,
Back in my hands, safely at rest!
