Christmas!Oh dear me, what can I see! Way up there in the sky? Is it a bird, is it a plane? Or is it something in my eye? Oooop's! It's getting closer, Now I wonder what it could be! Could it be Father Christmas? Bringing gifts for me! Wow, I hope I get a present, Maybe even two! Cos I've been really good you see! Well, at least I always try to be! Oh dear me, he's gone past me! Maybe I haven't been too good at all, So I think I better speak to him… At the North Pole and give him a call! And tell him; ‘Father Christmas, I'm really sorry that I was bad, And I will try to do better, I promise, It will make my mummy glad!' So tonight I will do my room up, And wash the muck off the floor, Tidy up, wash my cup, And hang my coat and bag on the floor! And maybe Father Christmas will come back, And leave me a little toy, Cos from now on, I'll really try, To be a really good little boy! Now Father Christmas knows about kids! He understands they're not always good, But they always try their very best, As best as best as they could! So he will never leave a child out, On any Christmas day, As long as they remember, Jesus was born on that special day! Cos sometimes Jesus is forgotten about, And people don't say a little prayer… And that's a very easy job to do!, To show Jesus people care! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
