My GirlMy tiny laughing Dimpled child, With eyes so Big and brown, Smiled at me Through endless talk, And reached to Hug me tight! Her will so strong, Her heart so soft, Her mind so firm And clear, No sitting on the Fence for her, Each thought So shared out loud! And then I blinked, And suddenly, There she stood one day, All grown up And beautiful And dancing Into life! I pinched myself And blinked a bit And wondered At her ways. I stepped right back And watched with pride As she smiled And laughed in love! My darling girl, My first born child, Such love I have for you. I simply wish You happiness Within the arms of love!
