Danseuse Divine 3

The phones were hot in Barnsley,
The press in strength in town
Following a tip as to how to
Track the Naked Diva down.
On a fast train from Wigan
She was heading south
Following an invitation,
Received by word of mouth,
To dance at a private party
To be attended by the Heir
Plus various other worthies
All specially invited there.
She of course agreed except
She insisted she be masked
If she made the two entrances
For which the invite asked;.
And she would remain anonymous
No efforts were to be made
To trace the real identity of
The naked dancing maid
She'd laid a false trail for
The papers via the internet
Pointing heavy clues towards
The wife of a Barnsley vet.
(Who was rather baffled
By her sudden rise to fame
Being followed very closely
Wherever she went and came).
The train was nearing London.
Her heart was beating fast;
Dancing By Appointment
Her fame was made at last.
She could cope now with future
Times of fear, distaste,  and chill
When she held her husband's tools
While he used his dentist's drill.
The train was slowly pulling
Into the railway station:
Soon she would be dancing
For the cream of the nation.
