Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god
The Hush
Damn, is it ever so quiet here.
Even though the cats roam,
The TV is on, so are the lights,
It feels so desolate.
This feels like a barren wasteland,
And I am the waste.
There's so much nothing here;
Nothing here for me.
Or I am the nothing here.
I am left here, alone,
To dwell on my thoughts, my ideas.
Two minutes later, there's nothing.
An eerie silence that always lingers.
I feel like I'm always waiting
For the coma that will hopefully come.
I'm sitting here, reclining,
Unable to relax,
Disabled for calm.
There's too much busy in my head,
But there's zilch here.
In my head floats notions
That infrequently see the light of day.
There's so much idle time
Between now and tomorrow but
All I'm aware of is
That there is such a thing as too much silence.
