One Wish
If I had but one wish
granted unto me
I'd ask without hesitation
with you, to forever be.
Happy in the good times
united when things look bad
blessed to have each other
no reason to be sad.
to rise each morning
see you lying peacefully beside me
and know beyond any doubt
there's no place I'd rather be.
to taste your lips and inhale your scent
let it play with my mind
to hunger for more of you
inhibitions, we leave behind.
set beside you everyday
discuss the events of the day
remembering when I first saw you
how you took my breathe away.
I wish to spend everyday with you
take my heart with you should you go
you'll always be my own true love
I repeat this wish daily...
just to let you know
