"Silence"
Some say silence is golden
but, not when that's all there is
passing each other quietly
not crossing the line
between mine and his.
Some days words flow freely
without cause for alarm
but the mood can change instantly
if ones ego is bruised or harmed.
I choose to say nothing
silence takes much control
once engaged in word exchange
I pour out my soul.
