Gotta dance swirl in your skirt
Wiggle in your pants
Move your butt in your thong
No it will not take you long
If you've got any passion
To run with your fashion
As they play many tunes
Under the Big Easy moons
Which are few and far between
'Cause the clouds have blocked the scene
And the fools will have to smile
Staying inside with the band awhile
From 30 to 40 plus years
The band's men seem to be dears
I heard they all were family men
Please oh please read my words and send
An instrumental into a riff of poetry
Take my heartunes into your world and set them free
Easy on the mind peaceful on the soul
String Cheese Incident and heartunes rock to roll
Thank you for the music and that God made you
Thank you for the love by all the touring you do
Thank you for the guitar bass keyboards and drums
Thank you for lettin this old poet join other SCI bums
I have 2000 poems or even maybe more
Out of this woman's soul they pour
And when you guys play songs without verses
I become your jammin rock rapper without the curses
For String Cheese Incident Band
I write this poem in fantasy land
On this late night I just can't sleep
Their music's in this poet's heart too deep.
