The Strength of a Woman

Looking at my own reflections
I see an image
This image isn't of me, but of someone else
At first it all seems to be a blur
I began to focus more clearly to adjust my eyes
Images of a handsome man see to be
Staring back at me
I turn around to see if anyone's standing near
No one's near me
No one's there for me
But this mysterious image of a man
Reflecting back at me is all that I see
I glare harder and harder at this man
Mesmerized by every detail of his face
I noticed his sad, puppy-dog-brown eyes
I sense a story
This story tells of hurt, loneliness
Sadness and a sense of being lost
The more I see this mysterious image of this man
The more I have the desire to hold him in my
Arms and love him the right way
I can't stand it anymore
It hurts like hell being on the other side
Looking at his reflection
