Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

FAIL

*I failed a math test and it devastated me, though I kind of knew I would fail it. This poem is a result of that.

Sometimes I fail;
Sometimes I get hit with a big
Fat FAILURE across my forehead
And down the ladder I go.
I'll have to start again.

I'll always have to begin again.

I'm not good at everything;
It's amazing that
I'm even good at SOMEthing.

Sometimes I fail,
And fall.
A big fat “F” falls on me,
Pushing me down into
A hole of grief, and stress.
It weighs me down.

It takes a while to just “get over it.”

Not everyone can just “get over it.”
It takes time, and
Sometimes, therapy.
~
I'm always sitting across from
The Good Doctor,
Replaying my “failurisms”
And trying to cope with
The curveballs that life seems
To always throw at me.
