…The Sentence…

Her heart was beating fast and hard,
Inside her head was a fear so great,
What could she do, why couldn't she run?
She was frozen to the spot awaiting her fate!
He came at her his eyes evil and piercing,
He rooted her to the floor…
Grabbed at her throat, dragged her back,
And threw her through the door!

She cowered to the wooden chair leg,
In terror and pain and fear…
She screamed out loud with all her force,
But no-one seemed to hear.
He lurched towards her full of sweat,
And his face wore a twisted smile,
Knowing he was going to rape her,
In his head were thoughts perverted and vile!

She closed her eyes and prayed for help,
Not knowing what to do,
And there he was, towering over her,
He was evil through and through.
He grabbed at her dress, and tore it,
As she was shaking in fear,
He was possessed, his mind on one thing,
He was getting so intense and so near!

She sobbed and she cried but no-one came,
While he did evil and had his way…!
Hour after hour he tortured her…
As night passed into day!
He tormented her and watched her fear,
Like a cat watches a mouse – like prey,
He lorded over her, tormenting her,
As night turned into day!

He did what it was he intended,
He violated her body and mind,
She, almost unconsciousness, in a heap,
It was release she wanted to find.
So she lay in the dirt on the floor,
Weary, beaten and blue...
So weak was she, so strong was he,
There was nothing she could do!

As the sun filtered through the blinds,
She saw him asleep in the chair,
Could she try and get past him,
Would she even dare?
Her hesitation was her downfall,
For he with a gleam in his eye,
Moved towards her, invoking fear,
She, knowing she may be about to die.

Her terror never fell on deaf ears,
For a man who was passing by…
Heard her screams for help,
He sensed such terror in her cry!

...Then...

They found her beaten, raped and bloodied,
Riddled with fear - and almost insane!
He'd passed out in a drunken stupor,
But he would never do it again!

When he was sentenced to confinement,
They say he showed no remorse,
He wore an evil grin on his face,
Using language foul and coarse!
But once inside his prison cell,
Was a unique sentence for him like no other!
For there inside the same prison walls,
Was that lovely young girl's older brother…!
